Swimming is so last century: Social media invades summer camp

Your child can spend his or her summer learning how to design Web pages and create mobile apps. Sound like fun to you?

Although computers have added to the summer-camp experience for roughly 30 years, The New York Times reports that future Mark Zuckerbergs and Larry Pages are attending nerd tech camps with better resources and more in-depth fields.

The Times reports:

“At today’s tech camps, including National Computer, children design video games and Web pages, explore robotics, learn three-dimensional animation, create applications for mobile phones and tablet computers, shoot and edit films, and delve into graphic design.”
