T.J. Maxx announces wage increases
The company, whose umbrella also includes Marshalls and HomeGoods, appears to be following in the footsteps of Walmart.

Just days after Walmart made a similar announcement, The TJX Companies—which include T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods—stated in its fourth-quarter earnings release that it will be raising its employees’ pay as well.
Starting in June, all associates will earn at least $9 per hour, the release states. By 2016, those who have worked there for more than six months will earn no less than $10 per hour.
CEO Carol Meyrowitz is quoted as saying:
