Silicon Valley’s most recent startup boom has been a boon to the public relations industry. While some fear another tech bubble burst, PR pros are riding the wave as long as it lasts.
A recent Wall Street Journal article suggests that there are more PR pros in the San Francisco Bay area now than ever before:
According to (PRSA) data, the Bay Area had 220 public-relations establishments employing 1,943 individuals as of 2009, the most recent figures available, up from 196 public-relations establishments employing 1,532 in 2005. Public-relations professionals said the numbers are likely even larger now.
