The results of a new survey reveal the median salaries of various reporters and editors covering the business world.

Now you can have an idea—if the journalist covers business.

According to phone surveys of 773 randomly selected journalists, U.S. business journalists reported a median salary of $56,220 for 2010 and 2011.

The median salary for editors and supervisors was $57,308; the median salary for reporters was $55,714.
