If you said “yes,” then you’re among the majority, according to a survey of 5,000 fulltime workers nationwide.

Nearly two-thirds of workers (63 percent) are satisfied with their jobs, and the level of satisfaction correlates with age, the survey found. For example:

75 percent of workers ages 60 to 69 say they’re satisfied;
67 percent of those in the 50 to 59 range are satisfied;
63 percent in the 40 to 49 range are satisfied;
60 percent in the 30 to 39 range are satisfied;
57 percent in the 20 to 29 range are satisfied.

Dissatisfaction rates follow the same pattern; the younger the worker, the more likely it is that he or she is not satisfied with work. Among 20 to 29 year olds, for instance, 30 percent say they’re not satisfied with their jobs. Only 17 percent of the 60 to 69 year workers make the same claim.
