The origin of today’s ‘RIP Mick Jagger’ Twitter trend
Don’t worry; Mick Jagger is very much alive. But, he is the victim of a Twitter death hoax.
The hoax stems from Jagger’s performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. A radio deejay tweeted that the Rolling Stones leader singer is the “living dead,” and he wrote “RIP Mack Jagger.” The Washington Post said that tweet sparked the Twitter trend.
We’re still awaiting comment from Jagger’s official Twitter stream.
