This World Water Day music video—and your donations—can make a difference
UN casting global attention on the world’s water crisis, with Coca-Cola taking a high-profile role in the effort.
Why water? Well, in case you haven’t heard, the world is facing a water crisis.
According to UNICEF, there are about 884 million people in the world who lack access to safe drinking water and 2.6 billion are without “adequate sanitation.” The UN says this problem will worsen.
With #WorldWaterDay trending on Twitter, thousands of people have shared tips for conserving water. (But can we please declare an end to the tired joke: “Save water, shower together“? That was hilarious—when we first heard it in the eighth grade.)
Checking out the advice is a good place to start if you want to mark the occasion and help make a difference.
