According to a map from downdetector.com, the outage affected TWC’s entire service area, which covers much of the Northeast (including New York), Ohio, parts of the Carolinas, Wisconsin and Illinois north of Chicago, areas of Florida and Texas, Phoenix, and southern California. Time Warner tweeted about the outage just after 6 a.m. Eastern time:

We’re working to restore services to all areas as quickly as possible; no ETR. Tweets will be delayed while this is addressed.
