Judging by social media buzz, Wednesday’s Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was a success.
Twitter users churned out countless tweets expressing their support for the fast-food chain and shared pictures of packed Chick-fil-A locations. In fact, around mid-afternoon on Wednesday, there were more than 50,000 Chick-fil-A images shared on Instagram.
“Standing in line at #ChickFilA to show my support,” said one Twitter user. “HUGE turnout! Nice to see people care …”
Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day started as a Facebook campaign to support the fast feeder, which drew flak—and a boycott—when last month its president expressed support for traditional marriage.
