U.K. sales up 0.3 percent in November

Great Britain may avoid a Tiny Tim Christmas after all. As expected, retail sales increased 0.3 percent last month as consumers began their holiday shopping, reports the BBC. October was a brisk month, too. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said October’s numbers were higher than were originally estimated, revised from 0.5 percent to 0.7 percent.
