Uber and Snap Inc. team up for new duel-app feature

Uber and Snap Inc. have announced a new partnership that lets riders unlock exclusive photo filters within the ride-hailing app.

Users can add the filters and send snaps to friends via the Snapchat app.

Uber’s latest improvements to its app include a feature that lets you choose a person as your destination instead of a location. Once the person is locked in and they’re on their way with the driver, Uber will prompt the user to send a snap to the person who’s waiting.

Users can choose from three customizable features filters: “Your ETA,” “Your Ride” and “Mystery.” When you choose a filter on Uber, it automatically opens Snapchat.
