University takes heat for questionable PR expenditures—like donkey piñatas

Officials at Edison State College in Florida are staying mum after a newspaper raised questions about the public university’s PR budget.

It’s a fair question raised by the News Press of Southwest Florida.

According to the paper, executives at Edison State College have found even more interesting ways to spend their PR dollars:

They’ve hired DJs, photographers, valets and a party planner who is the president’s sister-in-law. They’ve spent college money to make donations to charities and feed campus.
