Was your email exposed in the ‘biggest breach in U.S. history’?

The email addresses of millions of U.S. consumers were exposed after hackers struck the online marketing giant Epsilon.

The email said:

“While no personally identifiable information, such as names and credit card information, was involved, we felt it was important to let you know that your email may have been compromised. Target would never ask for personal or financial information through email.”

Reuters called it “one of the biggest such breaches in U.S. history.”

The list of other companies touched by the security breach is emerging, even though Epsilon has refused to state publicly any names of organizations.
