Yahoo’s corporatese-laden response to the firing of its CEO

Talk about contrasting communication styles. In the aftermath of her ouster, Carol Bartz said Yahoo’s board ‘f—ed up,’ while the board offered a more traditional statement.

Just look at their contrasting styles of communication in the fallout of Bartz’s firing this week.

In her first interview since being canned on Tuesday, Bartz told Forbes, “These people f—ed me over.” It’s a markedly different tone than she took in her email to employees following the news:

To all,

I am very sad to tell you that I’ve just been fired over the phone by Yahoo’s Chairman of the Board. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only the best going forward.
