Yelp introduces app for business owners

Brand managers can see how many leads their listing gains, respond to consumer questions and reply to reviews both publicly and privately.

No longer do we require some snooty food critic to tell us whether a restaurant is worth vising—we have any number of average Janes and Joes for that. Business owners are at the peril of the wowed or disappointed masses.

And now business owners can get real time push notifications on their smart phone any time one of these people post a review about their experience. Behold, the Yelp for Business Owners app.

In a blog post, Yelp brand managers promise the app will be “a way for businesses to get real-time mobile notifications of new Yelp messages and reviews, and facilitate faster response times to consumers.”
