You’re welcome, Kraft — Oreo is the world’s most ‘liked’ cookie

On Wednesday morning, the cookie set the record for most Facebook “likes” in a 24-hour period. Shortly after that, the rapper Lil Wayne broke Oreo’s record.

PR Daily reported this week that Kraft-owned Oreo cookies launched a Facebook campaign to garner the most “likes” in a 24-hour period. The cookie-maker needed 45,000 to set the record.

We’re happy to announce that as of 9 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, dunkers and twisters set aside their difference and made Oreo the most “liked” cookie on the planet. According to Guinness World Records, one of milk’s favorite buddies took away 114,619 “likes” with a single Facebook post.
